Wow Mitch, I love this one! It has a painterly feel to it. Nice poses and I like the way you composed it. I could only suggest maybe a touch more light or catchlight in the eyes? Beautiful work.![]()
Mitch, this is beautiful. I really love the tree reflections (?) at the top and the painterly look. Nicely done![]()

Hi Mitch;
I'm torn a bit on this one...it has both the painterly effect that Denise and Cheryl mention, as well as a bit of a solarized look to it...and, at least to my eye, the two are competing with each other a bit. I like the composition..and I agree with Denise's suggestion about a catchlight in the eye and maybe a bit of lightening...maybe if the colors of the reflections were a little warmer, a little more saturated? Overall, I like the image...the top third just draws my eye away from the rest of the image...it may just be me!![]()
Nice composiiton, Mitch, vertical works well, like the painterly effect and reflections. Denise & John make some good suggestions.
I don't know how many times I've looked at this image since yesterday, but I like it every time. The subject and composition are both great. And I really like the contrast between the warm and cool colors.
It's my opinion -- just because of the way I look at images, I guess -- that the viewers' eyes being drawn to the top of it is a good thing. They're going to follow the lines clockwise from there, anyway. In fact, I'd be tempted to look at backing off the reflection of the nearer swan's head and neck just a bit so they weren't such a strong element. It does look great the way it is, now, however.
Nice work Mitch. I really like the look you created with the filtering. Ditto on more light on the eyes. Lovely image!
