    Inspired by Arthur Morris' portrait of a juvi of the same species,
    I'm posting this picture that I believe is an adult.
    It is full frame.
    I did not change anything other than basic sharpening and brightening and extra sharpening of the eye.
    (The active focus square was sitting at the base of the bill.)
    Hand held.

    Nice exposure and background. I would prefer more of a profile view for this kind of shot though.

    Gorgeous fellow! There's a triangular reflection in his eye that could stand removal. I love the HA, detail, exposure, all great. BG is lovely but maybe could stand a bit of darkening to relieve the foggy look it has.

    Nicely done and yes an adult--more wrinkled. I'd prefer a more uniform background. The light stuff at the bottom draws the eye.... Speaking of which, it looks as if the nictitating membrane is covering a part of the eye but a closer look reveals that it is just a strange reflection....
