    Default Baltimore Oriole in fog

This was taken at my backyard set-up in the spring. The fog left shortly after the image was taken but the male did not return. The image is almost full frame. I read how Randy Stout worked on Roger Williams, Common Merganser Take Off post from yesterday and tried his technique with this image. Thanks for the info Randy. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated

Hi Jim. What a great combination - oriole and redbud! I love the whole setup - angle of branch, nice smooth BKGR, comp. Small things, but I wonder if the head is a bit oversharpened (whitish highlights on some feathers). I think I would remove the small eye catch on the right side of the eye.

Beautiful, Jim! Great colors, sharpness and PP job! It may be a little tightly cropped (for me). Sweet!

Hi Jim, great pp work, and I do like the pose and colours. Nicely perched between the two sets of flowers, with a killer BG. I would maybe take a bit off the top.

Notes to self: 1. experiment with Blend Mode; 2. get some better set-up perches next spring. Very nice original capture, beautifully enhanced with your PP work. Well done!

Alan Murphy-esque. Just love, love, love that gray BKGR. The perch is too, too perfect and the bird landed in just the right spot. Image design/crop is right for me.

    You totally nailed this.
The perch is too good to be true, the pose looks like it is out
"central casting for Oriole's" and your PP saved it.
Congrats on a really great photo.
