If this works then it is for me quite frightening, as there would be hardly any need to bother to take a good image, but lets wait and see!
Ken, are you saying that all there is to a good photo is sharpness?
I agree. should have put a smiley face after my question. And then....there are those good comps I've done that I said, if only I had that on a tripod at the time.....:) maybe this new ps will save some of those.

While this will be interesting, unless Adobe has come up with new physics, deblurring will be at the cost of added noise and if the blur model is not perfect, artifacts. And note that blur from focus is usually variable due to depth of field, so one needs a blur model that is variable across the scene so avoiding artifacts will be a challenge. There is no free lunch. I use Richardson-Lucy deconvolution and find I can usually gain about 2x in sharpness (compared to unsharp mask which does not actually sharpen). But if Adobe has simply added tools like Richardson-Lucy to photoshop, that is a good thing for us as then we don't have to buy other programs.
