These bears are always on alert and this one was giving the area one final critical look before moving on. C&C encouraged and greatly appreciated.

I really like the raised paw.
Seems pretty intense, I hope you had good cover at 300mm!

I very much like the pose on the bear. Interesting "drool"? coming from his mouth. I like the tiny bit of red on the outside of his eyes, gives a bit more drama to the scene. There are little white spots in the background which I can only imagine are bugs of some sort, I possibly would get rid of them as they don't look obvious what they are. Very nice though, TFS.

    Katie,

What a great pose, the raised foot is great, looks like it has socks on its rear legs.

White specks do not bother me but I would try to make the lighter are above the head blend in better, as it seems to have an "edge" on it.

Katie - Great pose and comp with the intense look and the raised paw. The drool adds to the image. Good pov too.

Cool shot Katie, love the muddy boots (paws) really emphasizes the claws. The 'drool[ as Hilary mentioned, is also a nice touch.

Like the powerful feel of this image Katie, with great detail in the bears face and claws just adding to the feeling. Nicely captured and nice low angle.

Lovely pose and details here Katie! Like the use of space too...might be tempted to tone down overall highlights using a luminosity layer to get more oomph out of the details.
    Please post some more!
