This shot was taken at the free flight program at the Arizona Sonora desert Museum.
It is cropped to form a vertical image and some lighting effect.

    Hi Bryan !!!!

I had to do a double take when I saw the image The first thing that came to mind is the bird had light on his rear end and was complaining !!!!

I like the idea of the lighting effect but would tone down a lot The tail is just about overcooked and overall does not look natural I do like the birds pose and raised foot Would have tried taking a step to eliminate the wing merge with the stick !!!

    :cool:Hey Bryan,
Nice Hawk, but agree with Al...the tail looks like its on fire, also clone out the branch touching the wing...

I thought the hawk had just lit afterburners in preparation for takeoff. :D I like the evil look in its eyes but everything is overwhelmed by the tail light.

    Default Hawk on fire

Thanks for the comments guys. really appreciate it. Sometimes I do effects for strong emphasis and I got carried away with this. Cloning the stick out would be reasonable except for my lack of ability to recreate the rest of the wing.
