    Default Theme: Bosque Dreamin'

The Festival of the Cranes is just a few short weeks away. I went through some unprocessed RAW files from 2010 yesterday and found this frame. Brings back pleasant memories! This Snow Goose has a 3D look to it due to the even BG and subtle shading on the body. Hope you like it!

What a super shot, love the exposure detail and pose, I also like the trailing wing coming from the top left corner.

    Doug:

Good comp, techs and BG. Yes, strong 3D effect with good separation from the BG.

    Cheers

Great swept back wing position, and you have exposed the whites very well, sharp, and of course, the goose pops nicely from the darker BG.

Great exposure of the whites. Nice dark BG that makes the goose pop out. The framing is very good.

    Very nice image.

I've been thinking about Bosque lately. I'm looking forward to this year. I wonder if the drought here in the Gulf Coast will affect the bird populations or timing at Bosque?

Doug, very nice exposure and IQ as usual.
I will be at Bosque in a couple of weeks, hope to see a few of these.
The f7.1 was a good choice, the far wing in focus is very nice to see.

Love the image and its 3d feel, and congrats on getting an isolated snow goose with such a clean background. Not easy at all, the way they fly together there!
