Default Theme: Red tail hawk take off

From the old files, taken in 2007 when we were blessed to have a family of cooperative red tails take up nesting locally. This was one of the juveniles.
Cropped to vertical, added a bit of canvas up top.

    Very nice, Grace.
    Great focus and exposure.
A bit more room on the right to fly into, would look nice to me.

    Grace:

Perfect timing, pose, clean view of the bird with minimal perch overlap.

At the risk of going a bit square, I would also consider a version with a bit more room to the right.

Always fun to find jewels in the files!

    Cheers

Very nice image. Great light and detail. Exposure looks just perfect. I like the fact that the right feet is still holding the perch tight
Another vote for a little more room to the right.

Grace, perfect timing to capture this pre-take off pose. Comp works well, the kite is nice and sharp, and the perch is not too busy.

agree that that talon gripping the perch is excellent. what a nice wing position, light and bid angle. liked the perch as well. Very well done.
