This began as a water blur. I started out with PB Oil Paint and then used Nik Color Solarization to get this effect. It probably won't be everyone's cup of tea but I thought it had an organic look to it that I liked.
Thanks for looking. Comments and suggestions appreciated.

A unique image, Cheryl; it would be interesting to see the original image for comparison. I like the fluid pattern of the ripples across the water; it reminds me a bit of looking down over a snow-covered landscape from an airplane. Very abstract and definitely out of the box...I find my eye wandering a bit, looking for an anchor point. I've got a similar image that I'm playing with, so I looking forward to hearing from others on this as well!

Hi Cheryl, the filtering has made this into a cool looking abstract. I like John's description of an aerial view from a plane. Great OOTB thinking on this one!

Cheryl, this certainly has the look of an aerial view. Beautiful looking abstract. I like the colors and the effect. Very nice work.

Hi Cheryl This is a feel good image. Like John my eyes followed the pattern down to the tiger-like colours which gives strength to the image. Nice one. Cheers: Ian Mc

I love it for all the reasons noted above. My fave is the perfect fish upper left center!!! Did anyone see the perfect pelican in Maureen's Celebration here: http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...read.php/90229?

Cheryl. See the eagle fract; I thought of a great way to post the #s .

Real nice abstract composition you created, Cheryl, nice job with the filtering. Like the patterns, light, and texture.

Thanks, everyone. I'll try to post the original if I have time tonight. And thanks, Artie, for the Fractalius tip

YAW. Your request actually helped me out a lot as I now have a way to share setting for the HDR Grunge Guide that Lady D and I have been working on (very slowly...) So tanks again.
