    Dear All

    Taken in Serengeti with D300 , 18-55 at 18mm , F6.3 , 1/2000 ISO 200 , Natural colors of sky here , No filters used.

Personally I feel I have not done enough justice with these magnificent animal in Africa as well in India. Neither in terms of their photo potentials nor to best of my abilities
Time to hit Amboseli NP for elephants. Leading the group and will be flying in another 10 hrs.

Tiger reserves opened for visitors and my driver sighted the B2 on day one , So B2 again surprised all by surviving this monsoon.

I hope I will be able to kick off this season in style in Kenya , Nov to June except May ( will be in Serengeti in May ) I will be hitting Bandhavgarh every month

    All C & C are most welcome

    Harshad,

Firstly marvelous news about B2, which has brightened up my early morning considerably

This image is "mighty" colourful, but could easlly be a true reflection of the amazingly blue skies you get in Africa.

I am unsure as to whether a severe pano crop would work here, but I like it as is.

For Ellies you need to go to Hwange

I seem to remember that you posted something similar a while ago which I liked. This is a beautiful scene and I love the sky with the wispy clouds and the fact that you've shown the herd of elephants in their environment. Makes for a majestic landscape.

Amboseli is lovely for elephants because it doesn't have the dense bush so you can have expansive views but also closeup details because they are so habituated. Of course, the occasional back drop of Kilimanjaro, and the swamps does add to the photographs.

Enjoy your upcoming safari, looking forward to lots of new images.

I like the big sky look as it accentautes the largeness of the environment as compared to a species who we know is large already. I would tighten the image up a bit by cropping some from the right to eliminate the clipped tree - let's say to just left of the two larger tree in the middle ground.

Wispy clouds help to make the large sky view work. Intense blue seems just right to me.

Lovely setting Bhai, and of course the sky looks lovely and clear, without any city smog, or rural activity. I must get these places one day.

Nice setting Harshad and the wispy clouds make that sky work. I like the position of the herd and having them below the line of the hill and trees in the BG.

Lovely setting here Bhai. Love the blue sky too. Might just reduce contrast in FG a bit and recover some shadows on the ellies?
