Wow, perfect exposure and amazing comp, Karl. I love the pose, the bird placement and the leafless perch!
I initially wanted to see both eyes, but I'm loving this now.
Hope to see this bird in the wild someday.

Wow Karl, love this shot. I hope to see one of these in the wild someday as well. The favorite thing about this image is the incoming landing that is being displayed.
Seems to have held up well considering you said it was a decent sized crop. Great exposures on those whites. Beautiful bird.

Beautifully exposed Image. Loved the Talons and looks as if its giving you that sly look.

    Karl,

Must say this is beautiful shot and IQ is really great said it a big crop.

Surprise with the perch if the owl just lifted from that very thin appearing branch ..

AIA superb frame for the theme as well.

The direction of the owl's gaze goes perfectly with the angle of the wing position and the branch....great comp! Blue sky sets the bird off nice, perfect exposure.

The action caught here is awesome. Love the raised wing, exposure and comp. Also agree the background sets him off very nicely.

I like this shot a lot too. Nice exposure on the whites against the blue sky, not easy.
The IQ looks fine for a large crop.
    Well done.
