    Dan:

Pretty good shooting angle for this fellow, must have been a short tree
    Sharp and well exposed.

I like the talon in silhouette.

Might consider removing one or both of the sticks coming out of his back.

A few clouds would have helped add more interest to the sky ( where are the darn things when you want them.)

    Cheers

I like the pose. As Randy mentionned, I would remove the sticks behind him. In order to help the sky, you could give it sone saturation in PS.

    Thanks for the comments.
I would not remove the branches behind the bird.
I will clean up spots, remove objects that are a side effect in a photo, but the main perch
the Red Tail was on, I don't mind, and I think that much PP is beyond "artistic" expression and becomes
photo manipulation. I could add clouds for that matter.
Nature isn't perfect, I hope for a better perch next time.
That is why we keep doing this.
    Thanks again
    Dan

Nice pose and a beautiful perch. I like the clear view of the talons.
My only suggestion would be to decrease sharpening a bit since now I
can see some sharpening halos around the bird.

Dan: I absolutely respect your stand on the issue of image manipulation. Everyone has a different take on this.
I was not suggesting adding clouds, just that if present, they would make for a better sense of depth, something to keep an eye out for!

    Cheers

Nice pose and an overall pleasing picture, Dan.
The perch shows some blue colour cast, you might want to remove it.

I like the pose, composition and tension. Also looks a bit over sharpened on my system.
