Default Speaking on behalf of the Lion-Tailed Macaque

    Dear All,
I am happy to share here that my film "A Call in the Rainforest" has been reviewed in The Hindu. It is a reputed newspaper and has one of the largest circulation figures. The review can be found in Hindu site: http://www.thehindu.com/arts/cinema/article2531988.ece

    A
s I had mentioned earlier, it is an 18 and half minute film, completely filmed using Canon EOS 1D Mark IV. The one minute opening sequence is here: http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/inspiration-for-the-film-a-call-in-the-rainforest/

    I
had held a screening of this film in Bangalore which was followed by eminent biologists speaking. Some other media stories and details are here: http://www.indiawilds.com/diary/firs...he-rainforest/ (I am the guy in the suit )

I am enjoying this new story telling medium (films). Tons of plans, hopes and dreams. I feel good sharing these small joys with you all. Thanks for all your support.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
PS: I lifted the thread title from the title given by the reviewer in the newspaper.

Excellent work, Sabyasachi. The opening sequence was an excellent appetizer. Would love to watch the entire documentary.
Congratulations on the screening and wish you all the best with this cause.
Please keep up the good work.

    Sabyasachi,

The short clip shows remarkable quality and editing , you would be hard pressed to kow it was from a DSLR.

I must admit to not knowing this animal was so endangered and any highlighting of this terrible man-made situation needs to be seen by as many people as possible.
Hopefully your film can make this situation better known and attract the attention of somebody who can do something to resolve it.

Thanks very much for sharing your hard work with us.

    Good Luck

    Ken

I find it a great pleasure to see people branch out, take risks and succeed in what is a highly competitive field. Telling stories so that others will listen and understand is a difficult skill but having seen the introduction I feel that it is one which you have mastered well. Passion and technique, when mixed together, makes for a powerful end result. Congratulations.

The trailer portends a beautifully created documentary, Sabyasachi. I hope to see it when the complete version becomes available on the Internet.

I know first-hand the challenges of filmmaking, and congratulate you for your talent and efforts in producing what appears to be a finely-produced cinematic adventure.
