Default New Gura Gear Bag with Laptop Compartment

    Greetings all:

The Kiboko from Gura Gear has been an incredibly popular bag, especially for international travel. One request that we have constantly heard is for the addition of a laptop compartment.

They have released the new Kiboko 22L+ today. Sightly smaller, still holds a 500mm and has a laptop compartment. Looks nice!

Nice bag. I have the 30L version. A concern I would have about putting a laptop in the bag would be the pressure squeezing the laptop screen against the keyboard as you carried the bag on your back full of gear. I scratched a Macbook screen once doing this. I now have a Macbook Air which is very thin but could be prone to damage like this. I have a nice little "Shaggymac" protector that lays on the keyboard and protects the screen when it's closed. Some Windows PCs are built more robust and may not suffer being carried.

Looks great! Will it be able to hold a 500mm on the one end (with a prosumer body stacked in there somewhere), while storing a 70-200mm, Pro body and 24-70/14-24mm lens as well as flash in the other half? I shoot Nikon.

    Morkel,

I see you did not get a response to your question so I just e-mailed Chris.

I am looking for a better day pack. I would like to have more options when I am out with a 500mm and need someplace to put the 500 when not in use.

    Let's see if he responds.

    Hi Morkel and Dave

Gura Gear just released the inside dimensions of the bag:

    Each side is 17"H x 6.5" W x 5.5"D.

So, I think it would hold most of your gear, except for trying to fit a body on the same side as the 500. There are lots of photos of the bag packed on our site: Kiboko 22L+

You might want to measure your individual gear to make sure!

    Chris

Thanks Chris for the prompt response.

Yes it certainly looks like it would hold the Canon 500 as well as a bunch of other gear.

    Time to mull it over.

    Dave
