I captured this a couple weeks ago from a boat in Monterey Bay. I clipped the lower wing but I really liked the BG, so, I added canvas to the bottom and did my best to reconstruct the wing tip. C&C welcome.

ps. BG seems noisey in the uploaded jpg? I double checked the master file and see none?
pps. Shoulda fixed the blown whites! My bad!

Dan I like the image, sharp and good comp. I like the vertical comp for the layering of colors in the sky. I might take a little off bottom and right, but that's just my taste. To my eye the whites on flank are blown, and the image has a blue/cyan cast. Here I've added red to cyan and yellow to blue, plus linear burn on the flank and beak. What do you think?

Looks good Ron! Thanks. I honestly can't see the color cast but your version does look good!

    Dan

Beautiful Image and that 80-400 worked really well on IQ. Like the brilliant colored bg here.
That direct sun spot just on belly after wing shadow got blown out and from raw you can recover that.

I like the pose and the background color. Good job on the wing tip. The repost looks much better

Happy to see you posting some images Dan! Did Nicki contact you? Nice pose and I like the BG, although I might crop just a little tighter. Good suggestions above.

Dan, what a nice BG. I also like the flat wing position. Vertical comp. works well as it does justice to the bands in the BG.
