    Here is my version of these beauty From anhinga trail about a month ago Got lots of different crops and selected this one for one tech reason. It was made with the 200-400 vr and 2.0X The one combo I was told you could not make sharp images with? I like it !!

    For this image I tried finding the bg first then maneuver my way around for the sun angle to have the bird lit evenly. If the subject cooperates you should work it till you get what you want. Suggestions !!!

    Alfred I love it too. Then again I love TV's and BV's. Great portrait of a wonderful bird!

    My only suggestion would be to take more. This is so good it's almost funny. This is the cover of the next Audubon. Now if you just could have got him turning his he... just kidding Al, just kidding. Thanks Al - I needed that one!

    Here are the tech info

    ISO 1600
    f 11.0 1/500 sec
    Av -1/3
    Mounted on Mongoose 3.5 and Gitzo triopod (all locked down)

    Not sure you could make a sharp image with that much magnification any other way

    We got lucky this year and Denison U, the TV capital of Ohio:), had both TV's and BV's a first on the BV's..Wonderful birds.

    Look forward to the TV image

    Nonda the TV we have down here come down from Hinckley Ohio !!!
