    Hi to Asian group,
    I will go to Maldives in 15 days for holidays and I want to ask
    if there are birds there for photography

    My advice would be to rather take your underwater housing. My trips there must add up to about 12 weeks and all I remember are gulls and a rather confiding heron.

    Hi Manos,
    I have been three times at the maldives and: yes, there are some birds. It depends how much the people use chemicals against the insects....
    You will see different herons, terns and the tropicbird. Then you will have crabs and hermit crabs, some lizards and of course the big fruitbats!

    You will have some fun, but it is not the best place for photographing birds. To which Island are you going to travel?

    Thanks a lot for your informations,I will take the small len 100-400,
    the EF 500mm to birdphotography in Hungary!!!
