    Default Tawny Eagle

On the way to Masai Mara , got this handsome eagle perched on a Shrub . Since , it was on the highway and we overshot it , had to back off a bit to get him . Our guide was only too happy to oblige . Most of the people , he said would want to get to the Mara , as fast as possible .

My guess is this is a Tawny Eagle . A highly obliging individual , as I did get time to shoot a closer portrait by adding a 2X TC .

Camera : Canon 1D Mk III
    Lens : 600mm f4 IS
    Aperture : f8
    Shutters : 1/1000
    Speed : ISO 200

    Cheers,
    Rakesh

    Rakesh Bhai,

This is absolutely marvelous. Compared to our Tawny African Tawny's looks little diff. Have seen one from my friends album.

Well take on adding 2x considering the Sun Angle you have managed really well.

Have confusion over to the composition as i feel a bit free space on right.
Some parts looks washed out may be recovery option might help.

From my experience of extensive 2x must say f/8 is too shallow and as you have good ShutterSpeed you may traded some for more aperture to grab more depth over to legs and perch as well.

The OOF bg near the breast is a little bothering for me.

I think i have asked too much here bro.

Mital, This is shot without the TC . I did make some images with the TC which I will post later .

I guess the washed out effect might be because I backed off the contrast a bit. Will revist the file once I am home and check it on mu calibrated monitor . My office monitor sucks . Everything looks washed out :).

Nice pose and capture of this Tawny, if it is one. I do agree it looks bright overall, maybe a curves adjustment could help. The BGD does look good except for the one darkish area by the chest. TFS

Very nice image considering the harsh light. I love the killer look and the soft background.
The top of the beak looks hot but I think that you can recover some more detail there.
If it was mine I may have left some more space behind the bird.

Rakesh, very majestic. agree that some contrast will help. I also think you should move it a bit towards the center..if possible.
