Another one from Monterey Bay Pelagic tour... this a Northern Fulmar and a first time species for me. The bird landed close to the boat. For processing I used a combination of fract and pb/oil and then used masks to open up the bill and face... hope you like it.

Hi Paul, Thanks. This was with the Cheesemans'. We did see Black-footed Albatross in addition to plenty of Shearwaters, Aukulets and Phalaropes. This is in addition to pelagic cormorant, brown pelicans, terns and gulls.

Indranil, really nice job with the fracting and a super capture. Love the ballet pose! Sounds like a great trip.

Indranil, It does look like it's walking on water. Nice job with the subtle filtering. Composition is nice too.

The foot on the water looks almost as if it will be sucked into a vortex. Great effects and the bird looks great against the water. Very nice.

I agree with everyone else - super job on processing and fracting. I really like the tension of the water under that front foot.

Hi Indranil, great filtering on this lovely capture. It really looks like the foot is creating tension on the water's surface. Very nice work!
