I made this image at first light this morning just as the fog was lifting.

That's a face no snail want to see for sure! Awesome eye. I'd like to see either more fog, or see it processed out completely.

A very nice image, Jim. I like the soft foggy look to the light. Very sharp with a good pose and composition. If it was mine, I would consider cloning the one stem sticking up from the right.

Very nice composition Jim, Love the bird, nice colors, pleasant background.. I would suggest cloning out the little stem on the lower right of the frame, and the thick green arcking one at the bottom...
    Congrats...:D

    Hey Jimmy,
I'm glad to see the fog lift there! The light was shot by the time it lifted in Lakeland.

What a beautiful subject. I like the placement in the frame and the head angle.
The light is awesome and the image is nice and sharp.
It looks a little over-saturated on my (new Dell) monitor.
I love the vertical cattails the Kite is perched on, however IMO the curved horizontal cattail is a distraction and detracts from a otherwise outstanding image.

I hope to get over there soon.

    James

I love the eye and the head turn here. The red colored eye is a magnet. The bent over reed is a bit distracting. It could go or stay, it's your to decide. These snail kites are something I have to see in person. Maybe a trip with you is in order when come down.

    Hi Jim!

How are you? I miss your posts, and moderation. Hope all is going well with you!

Excellent portrait image of your favorite bird. Slightly magenta? from here ... but may be the wonderful morning light.

I sure miss being out there with you, and I hope to be able to come out again soon! (and you too James!) :)
