This will teach me from doing things differently. Whenever I have entered a composition the title of my work includes the name of the bird. However, this time I thought of a name "Up on a mountain" or whatever. Thought I was being cute. I posted the "winning image" but found out I posted the wrong image. This one of a least tern chick won.
Nice image - HA, soft light, feather/fluff detail in the body, perched on top of the sand pile and nice BG. Question - why would the sand to the front left be in focus and that to the right be OOF? There seems to be something going on around the bird?

Delightful. I'm not seeing any DOF issues -- I think the angle of slope on the left tends to confuse the eye as to what plane it lies in. Looks perfect to me. Great job.
