I had been away all of last week and finally had the opportunity to work on an older image! This one was taken off Monterey Bay as these pelicans were following our boat hoping for chum... I applied fract and pb/oil on separate layers and adjusted opacity. Then used mask to open up the head and adjusted for selective colors. Hope you like it..

Really like your treatment on this, Indranil, and great POV capture of this pelican. Nice clean comp with pleasing muted colors.

The pelican and the treatment are awesome, Indranil! I'm wondering about the color of the BG though. It feels a bit gray when placed next to this beautiful bird. (I selected the BG and lightened it up to almost white, then added a soft blue filter over it...sepia also looked nice as well.) Just a thought...

Love the head-on, flying pose, Indranil! The soft, muted colors and filter treatment are perfect. I think Jules has a good idea regarding the BG.
