    Dan,

This is superb closeup and the water effects are too good.

pity about white's got blown which you can still recover.

May be if you have room around i would love to see bit off of top and adding to bottom having head too visible .. Although as is also looks quite good if you chop a little off top.

Great Light, shooting angle, sharpness & details. I like the water color too.

Dan, luscious as always, and more of that emerald BG. The whites on the neck especially seem blown, but it is a gorgeous bird well presented. Thinking it might benefit from subduing the left and right side vertical bands of light.

great low angle and eye contact with a nice BG. the neck and beak whites are blown you need to watch your exposure it appears that you ran some NR on the head area?

Dan , undecided about what a good crop would be for this one , but the shallow DOF is mindblowing !! Just love the 3D effect it gives !

These guys can be tough to keep the whites in check. Sometimes exposing for those whites and letting flash do its thing on the darks is an option to try. Nice and sharp, and lovely water. Good low angle and the incoming pose is nice. Comp is rather tight IMO.

Dan, lots of things to like here...the water, the colors, the head turn, incoming angle. I like the crop as well. Photographing wood ducks in these situations is quite tricky.
