    Haim, A wonderful subject. Agree that the rope is not ideal. The processing looks heavy handed to me. Perhaps overly saturated, details look harsh. For an overcast day, how'd you get that light in his eyes? I'd like to hear more about your work flow.

    Looks like the sun was peeking in between clouds here. I agree the rope is not the best perch, and I find the comp rather tight...more room all around would be nice. Nice open bill pose. Side light is OK, but had the head been turned a bit more towards us the lighting on it would have been super.

    Really like the color, open bill, and sharpness. Perch is not great, as you point out. You handled the sidelight very well. I don't mind the tight framing because it highlights the great feather detail nicely.
