    Default I won a contest :)

I won a "best in show" for a wildlife image in Parker River National Wildlife Refuge's Nature and Wildlife Photography Contest. Quite pleased.

Well who wouldn't put a ribbon on this litle sweetie? So darn cute though I'm hopping on the sharpening boat as well.

I did not want it too sharp as it is a soft little chick. The print looks good.

On the other hand the foot is a bit blurred.

    Allan:

Very sweet! Congrats on your win.

From an artistic standpoint, to play up the soft and fuzzy aspect, I am ok with not having a screaming sharp chick. I would probably hit the eye, bill and legs a bit more with sharpening, but leave the body as is.

I do agree with the others from a purely technical standpoint, but sometimes you have to go with the 'mood'

This may not be a popular position, but thats OK!
