Surprise with the Aperture Selection ? yes i took call to make f/16 for better sharpness at that heat of around 40c + degree temperature on the dry desert and sun on top with 2x tc being this species a rare in our region didnt wanna miss.

Hope you like it. its big crop to show more details. Almost similar to Siberian Stonechat with minor difference in shoulder patch and the supercilium.

    All C&C Much Appreciated

Nice look-back pose with excellent sharpness and DOF. I like how the bird sits entirely in the blue of the BG. Lucky that you had enough light to pull off f/16.

    Thanks Doug,

Still at f/16 you can see how at 1000mm DOF affected on lower perch. this is big crop around 35/40% of actual frame. Crop vertical for framing from horizontal.

The biggest challange to do photography on this terrain is after 9 in morning the Heat wave starts appearing in images and by 10/10:30 its really hard to get nice images except photographic bird records only with the heat.

As noted above, you did a good job on call counts. I esp. like the BKGR and the pose.
