    Sid,

Nice to see a few more of your stupendous Polar Bear shots, are these from a recent trip, or more from your" prize winning" trip.

I will be perfectly blunt and say that this one is not quite as good as most of the others, but then you set such a high standard, I would be more than happy just to have one

    Ken,

I am in Kaktovik now. Things are looking pretty good.
    Always appreciate your honest critic.

Sid, I love the snow flying and I like the soft blue BG.The POV looks good, are you on the ground or shooting from a vehicle?

Congrats Sid..Lovely moment and great IQ. A tesatment to the 7D ISO capabilities. Many are scared to take it over 800 but look how clean this is at 1250. Nicely done!

    Hi Sid,
Amazing image. I like the action typified by the snow flying off the coats of the polar bears, the detail, composition and the wonderful background.
The low POV just adds. What vehicle were you in Sid to get such a low POV?
    Thanks for sharing, Mark.

Always great fun to watch these big guys sparring Sid, the pose/posture conveys the power and strength of these awesome characters have. The fragments of frozen ice coming off the coats adds a nice touch to the display.

    Hi Sid,
I now have a better unbderstanding of Kaktovik. Read this quote,
" From what I've read about polar bear viewing up there, it is still a bit on the primative side without a good infrastructure for viewing/photographing. In other words, local native guides driving you around in their pick-up truck or jeep. From some of the stories told up there, folks have had very close encounters with the bears . . . perhaps too close . . . although I have also not heard of any tourists being attacked/injured. A trip there is on the bucket list of several regulars here. Perhaps they will share their research here too."
Sounds like my type of holiday place. Who arranged your trip Sid?

Nice capture Sid. I like the triangle formed by the two, the flying spray of snow and ice, and the look of the one on the left.

Sid, this one rocks too. Love the action and the snow flying. I would like to see a tad less snow on the bottom however b/c I think it takes a little away from your subjects and the action. Hope the rest of your trip is great and looking forward to more.
