I created the "stars" with a PS noise layer that completely covered the original bkgd. Then for the chipmunk I used topaz nightly, fractalius glow 50 and a bit of PB oil paint. I erased all effects on the eye.

I'm not sure why I'm having fun here while I should be packing for my Peru birding trip . I leave for the airport bright & early Sunday at 6 am.

Nancy, I love the pose and the filtering. I like the combination of the filters you used. The sky looks good and you did a great job creating the stars yourself. I might take a slice off the top if it were mine.

Nancy, I love the pose and I like the vastness of the sky and the fract effect on the rocks. Nice use of filters. I hope you have a great trip!!

Beautiful image, Nancy. I love the "praying" pose of the chipmunk, and the filtering and night sky look perfect. Well done!

Very creative. The squirrel looks as if it is resting on a leopard skin rug! Have a great trip.

Who doesn't love chipmunks... But this processing is special. Great idea, and great image.

Lord how embarrassing; you would think that I could tell a squirrel from an Alvin...

Thanks all! I finally arrived in Lima at midnight after 2 delayed flights due to weather and mechanical difficulties. Plus my duffle must have sat in the rain in Houston as everything inside was wet. The joys of travel! But I´m here and even found a computer to use!

I just realized the screen on this hotel computer squishes the images and makes them flatter and fatter! Too funny!

Very creative composition, Nancy, and good choice for the theme. Very cute chipmunk pose, and love the starry sky. Wanting to see just a bit more detail on the darker areas of chipmunk, but overall nicely done! Hope you are enjoying your Peru trip, and look forward to seeing some great images!
