    Default Stand off!!!

Thought I might add this one to the pot.

We had been watching the sow & two spring cubs fishing upstream, Mom continued, but the other two got board and went off to explore along the riverbank, but always staying in close proximity to Mom. As they weaved their way through the vegetation of tall grass one of them popped out very close to where we were sitting, hence the stand off look. Not too sure who was the more surprised?

Having seen Artie's posting some cub 6-7 weeks ago, it was almost a dead ringer for this one, but it couldn't have been, or could it?

"Love Da Bears." At least the people in Chicago do.

Great image Steve. He looks very surprised to see you and the question on his face is "Now what do I do?"

A great "in-your-face" image! Now I wonder what happened next?

The light brownish grasses in the URC are a bit distracting in contrast to the great frame the green grasses make in the rest of the image.

Lovely detail and very nice eye contact. I like how the Bear is framed by the grass.

Great image Steve, nice detail and great timing to capture the surprised look. I think that is about the time I would have made my exit, must have been pretty close.

Steve - cute cub with excellent alert pose. All looks good. Looks like he was on a bear path with all the trampled grass.

    Hi Steve,
I really like the soft light of this. The detail is excellent (as usual) and the color of the grasses are vibrant but natural. Of course I also like the pose. Kind of a "what do I do next" moment.
