Cold February Morning At Little Estero - White Morph Reddish Egret
This image was taken last year while helping at Artie's SW Florida President's Week IPT. It was one of those cold, slightly dreary mornings and I thought this fellow looked as if wrapped in a poncho or shawl.
D300 70-200 VR 78 mm f/6.3 1/800s ISO 320
Post: CS5 selective sharpening, water clean up, straightened. Small crop because of straightening.
Advice and comments always appreciated.
Cheers

Ha! Love the depth in this image and particularly love his stance and expression.
Excellent exposure and comp as well.
Lovely image. Shoreline gives the impression of the need for a slight CCW rotation.

I like the pastel colors of this one, the soft feel and the ripples in the water. It's also nice to see bird pictures at under 100mm, and I'd like to do more of that in the future myself.
Almost looks like ice by its feet :). Like the careful placement of the little grass island but not a fan of the guillotine horizon (GH). Hey, I just coined another new bird photography phrase! Happy bird-day to me.
