    I captured this Giant sitting on a bridge railing concentrating on it's next catch.

    I see a green cast around the image and background after I uploaded the jpeg file. I will have a look at the RAW file.

    Chris this is the best portrait i've seen of this species .. Excellent clarity and sharpness. Looks like Macro shot

    Chris:

    Great techs, sharp, well exposed, lovely subject.

    I might do a little tweaking on the reflection in the eye, darken the pupil a smidge and remove the faint lower reflection.


    Really nice!

    Tack sharp Chris, and you have done extremely well with your pp work. When these guys perch on bridge railings in Kruger, a portrait is the only way to go.

    beautiful image, tack sharp and the detail is amazing! I like what you did with the eye on the repost. I'm really hoping to see one of these on my upcoming trip to South Africa!

    The detail here is incredible. Like the RP with the eye correction. very very nice.

    that is a close-up, yes. with 300mm lens. WOW....very nice work. great details and BG. loved the eye in the repost.

    If mine, I'd back off a bit on the sharpening front.

    This is to me at least absolutely remarkable, the repost with the work on the eye works best. The best portrait of a Giant Kingfisher I have ever seen
