Osprey on the Move (Theme)
Waited for over an hour with my camera in hand for this very stubborn Osprey to give me a good take off shot and when he finally did I literally had a sweat trail running down the front and back of my shirt plus my arms and back were sore for a few days after words (what a photographer will do to catch that magic moment)
Techs: Nikon D300s, Sigma 80-400mm OS lens, ISO 400, Shutter 1/2000, EV +-0, Aperture F 8, no flash, bright sunny day around 9-10am
Thanks for looking, advice always welcome

Cory:
I have done that same dance, waiting for the action to occur.
Good timing with him just leaping away from the tree. Good exposure too.
He is angling just a bit away from us. Wish the head and rear wing didn't merge so much.
I have found that Osprey are pretty predictable about the angle of their take offs if there is any wind, and will often continue to adjust my position to give me the best angle on them for when they do launch.
Obviously, there are lots of other factors such as the perch, sun angle etc., but I do try to work my position relative to them when possible.
Cheers
