    Stuart:

    You have to love those wicked looking talons. Nicely exposed with good detail in the near wing. Wish the back wing was up a bit more to prevent merging with the head.

    If you have it, I might crop a bit looser to show the take off perch and provide a little more room at top.

    I am thinking this is a first year juvi?

    I like the near wing position and as Randy pointed out, those talons (as well as that beak) are pretty impressive. Would like the head a bit more this way. I'm seeing some funkiness with the sky along the lower edge of the bird as well as between the tree branches.

    Well timed, and I like the take off pose with the raised wings. Overall, nice and sharp, not to mention those talons and the tip of the beak.
