    420mm | ISO400 | f/6.3 | 1/1250 sec

    Was a difficult day to shoot because of hard wind, the threes, branches and bird moved constantly but I was lucky to get at least one somewhat sharp photo. Little bit messy picture with, in my opinion, the foreground branch beening the biggest disturber. What do you think of the exposure of the white and black areas of the bird? All feedback very welcome! Thanks. :)

    Mats,

    Like to know more about the kit used- Canon, Nikon etc. You set the exposure correctly by exposing for the highlights the whites in the head area - they look good. I see detail in the darks as well - exposure looks solid. Nice shape eye and light looks soft. As you noted, background is busy and pic is tight. You did well with detail considering wind. Thanks for sharing - keep em coming.

    Thanks Jeff for great reply. Some information of my equipment:
    Canon 7D with Canon EF300/2.8 USM (17 year old lense) and Canon EF1.4X II extender.
