    Default Yellowlegs in technicolor

I would rather not have the muck on the foot, but mainly I am posting this to see if it looks bright enough.
Reading the critiques and trying to learn from Ofer's reposts. This looks bright enough on my monitor.

Sharpness and colours are there...but the whites are too bright (some even blown). A bit of CCW rotation, and the subject higher in the frame would have been good. Excellent BG Dan!!

Excellent comp, exposure, pose and bg.
This one looks bright enough on my screen.
    This is a "Greater", right?

PS: My initial reply was on my crappy laptop monitor.
Rechecking on a better monitor, yes, looks like the whites could be tamed.
I should be careful not to make calls on brightness, colors etc when viewing from my pedestrian laptop.

Gorgeous colors and light. I agree about the rotation

    Thanks for the response.
I looked at the whites and they were overdone, so I adjusted them.
I don't get the rotation comments, the ripple in the water (which is what I look at) looks even to me.
I raised the Greater Yellowlegs in the image, I am not sure about half reflections, which is why I
    did the original crop.
Posting and learning here, thanks again.

Dan, the RP is drop-dead gorgeous. When I put a ruler on the ripples, I see a 0.48 degree CCW rotation needed to level. I'll admit matching right-side ripple to same ripple on left is problematic, but the result looks better to me. With apologies, I rotated .48 CCW and cropped slightly to get back within the image.

Ron, now that I look at yours, I can see the difference and you did a nice job.
I will admit, I have trouble looking at these things, I appreciate your re-post.

    Dan,

You are hitting really high on that waterbody man. Superb shot again. I would go with #6 of Ron's presentation.

Lovely shot, possibly an easier way to determine level or not would be to use the ruler from the knee joint to the reflection knee joint? Super image great colours and detail, I like the low angle.

This is very cool, love the BG water (you are coming out with lots of nice BG colors!) the repost takes care of the hot whites.

Yes, but you mean ankle joint...the knees are hidden in the feathers close to the body
