    Ian, that's a pretty good camoflage. I think you could crop the reflection off the bottom and eliminate most of the pool of water in the fg as an alternate crop.

    Ian,

    Love the camo, he is well hidden and a great example for the theme. Love that eye and large bill, what a beautiful baby. Shadow is in the correct spot and shadow indicates plenty of contrast. The camera kit is a good one, Kerry and I use the same setup often. The image seems dark or warm. Was AWB used and/or the image underexposed. Thanks for sharing, love to see more Snipe's.

    Hi Ian, good shot for the theme - thanks for posting. I don't see snipes that often so I enjoy seeing this one. I agree with Cheryl about the water, could crop it away for a different look. The coloration and patterning of the bird really makes it hard to see, just what camouflage is all about. Good one!

    Ian, I'm with you - it didn't work out as well as I thought it would! Maybe if you cropped half of the water?
