the low angle and the fish makes this one for me, but the GBH looks somewhat noisy and oversharpened.

Looks like ccw needed. Did you select the bird and then do something to the bg? Edges of the bird look blurry esp around the head and beak. Pretty good action with the prey.

That is a little flounder! I like that the bird's head does not merge with the border between the buff and the blue. Yes to some CCW rotation and the oversharpening (on the head only from here...). EXP and image design good.

Nice action photo and good catch by you and the Heron.
A bit of rotation and it is a fine photo.

I like the scene you got here and all the horizontal bars make for a neat effect. Love the speared fish. To me the image seems to be showing some signs of jpeg compression artefacts?

I like the bg colors and reflection and agree about the rotation.

I love the environment and the lighting! I wish the whole reflection made it through, but then you gotta frame/crop appropriate to showcase the bird. I agree that a slight CCW rotation would help.

Here is the repost. I did not sharpen this version in CS5- just in LR3. Is this better re" sharpening and ? Jpeg compression artifact?"

i like the repost as it gives more intense look to the GBH. The only nit remain is to try to match TRC dark patch with TLC.

Like night and day, so much better. I still think you need slight ccw. Do a browser scroll and look at the water line right by his legs (the one with the bubbles in it). Drawing on what Mital says, I think you could even loose a bit off the top and eliminate the dark area that way.

The repost is quite nice. Yes, you still need to do a bit CCW rotation.
