Anyone Else Having Issues After Updating LR and ACR?
On Sunday, when I opened LR to do some work, I got a message that an update was available (to LR 3.5); I downloaded and installed the update, did some work on an image in LR, and then went to Edit->Edit in PS. I got another message saying I would need to update to ACR 6.5 to open correctly in PS. I closed LR, ran update from within PS CS5, the only update was to ACR, so I ran it. Here's where the issue begins...as I begin my workflow in PS, I zoomed in to 100% to look for any touch-up that may be needed (looking for dust spots, small image/subject flaws, etc.) and I notice a really odd "mottled" look in the sky...I've never seen anything like it before. I closed the image, went back to LR, zoomed in....it was there, most noticeable in the sky, but also elsewhere. Looked through, and it was in every image, even those without any work done on them. I'm using a Canon 1D Mark IV...anyone else noticing this after updating? Any thoughts or suggestions?
I will as soon as I get home...and I will zoom in and crop a sample area to show what I am talking about. It was an image where I set the ISO to 400, with -1 1/3 compensation (shooting directly into back-lit clouds at sunrise. I'll have something up early this evening.
Sorry I didn't get an image posted...went home, brought the images up in LR again...lowered sharpening from 25 (the default) to 0 and the mottling disappeared. I have never had a noise issue with the 1D MarkIV before; I shoot most images at an ISO of 400, and that doesn't come close to pushing the envelope; going to shoot a few test shots and see if they appear again.
