Jeff, I love this! Birds find water wherever they can, and they sometimes give us a chance to make a nice image like this. I really like the framing and composition. The bird is positioned nicely in the frame-within-a-frame of the opening in the wall.

I like this image also. I agree with Kerry's observations. I especially like the water droplet falling from the end of the pipe.

Jeff, appreciate your expanding to something other than birds in the ETL forum. Shooting things that hold still can be also be rewarding.

I like the frame within frame effect and simplicity of this image.

    Gary,

Thanks for the feedback. We intend to cover many areas. Macro, landscape, street photography,...and other aspects of nature. I plan on photographing flowers in the spring as well. Looking forward to seeing more from you as well and appreciate the comments.

Jeff, this isn't the first photo of yours I've seen that took something most would consider mundane and made it special. You really grab the opportunities wherever they crop up. Great eye.

    Paul,

Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. I have been focusing more on composition and placement. Trying to find things that are different and unique. I am attending a workshop in NY third week in Oct and plan to bring back pictures of nature from the Big Apple.

Very unique POV. I wish you had moved left a bit to get a better look at the sparrows' eye. Love the composition and the brickwork and the falling drop of water. Well done,
    Gail
