Bono the Bald Eagle

This bald eagle was from the upper Delaware River, a section was frozen on Dec.29, 2010. This individual has become known as "Bono" by some of us locals because of the U2 bracelet. Overcast conditions called for higher iso. Shot from a vehicle blind with a kirk window mount/ ball head/ sidekick. mk IV, 800 f5.6, iso 1600, f8, 1/1250 shot in manual mode. All C & C is welcome.

Herb:

Nice exposure on the bird under difficult lighting conditions. Nice landing pose.

The eye seems a bit too bright under these conditions, but perhaps you are getting some natural fill up off the ice/snow.

Tightly cropped but effective.
