shot this guy this morning at wakodahatchee wetlands in boynton beach, fl. had the privilege of watching him fly back and forth in front of me gathering limbs for the nest. what a treat to see this and be out with some friends to share it with!!:)

I also would like to thank all the people that have helped me or US in the forum and out in the field. i dont want to name any names for fear of leaving someone out, but i think this forum and the people who post here are great and i very much appreciate them. and for all you "Bigma Haters" out there that say you cant take a sharp flight shot, i took a ton today that were just unbelievable in all kinds of light!!

    Nikon D300, Sigma 50-500 at 230mm, f/6.3, 1/1000s, 0EV, ISO 800

Comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated!!

Nice shot Harold. I was at Wako last night practicing as well. You have gotten some great shots with the Bigma.

    Mr. Harold,
Very nice capture; love the rich colors, and the flight action. Details on subject are sharp...:)

Looking good Harold !!!!! Glad big blue perform They are good looking birds

I like you made the image before he went past you !!! Good exposure and wing position Wish you had all green behind the bird but that is the luck of the draw!!! Hope to be over some time this weekend !!!! ..... could give the wind a bit more umph by using selective color and bump the neutrals with black !!

Very nice shot, comp, position and color are great, if I had one lil nit it would be the ripple in the water below his head. My eye keeps going to it trying to figure out what it is....
