    Default Male Bufflehead

Photographed this little guy this morning on Marrowstone Island, Wa. I liked his perky little look. :) He was smiling because there was some SUN!

You've had some great success with the diving ducks Bonnie! The whites look good, enough details in the blacks, and nice eye contact.

Nice capture or the iridescence on the head. The colors look a little washed out to me and it seems to need a slight CCW rotation (~1 degree or so). Here's a version of what I'm seeing in my mind's eye for this shot (sorry about trimming your name off - that was unintentional)

Thanks, Leroy! Yes, I do think it looks better. I seem to tend to not get saturated enough on my colors--so thanks for reminding me!

Second post works but the colors are a little off as the blues are over saturated. I do like the low angle and water details.
