It has been amazing watching the little burrowiing owl for a day. I seen him building his home. flying out to protect himself and then time out to grab a bite to eat. I have not seen another one so appears hie is on his own but hopefully not for long/

this is beautiful, and the frog is a bonus.
Appears to be winking at a companion.

    super angle and bg IMO

Super behavior captured here. It does sort of look like he's winking in a "I got your frog, babe" sort of way.

Beautiful image and composition, Judy. Love it!
On my monitor it looks like it could have a little boost in contrast to make him pop a bit more.

I agree a contrast boost would not hurt. Love the pose and the catch...looks like it's showing it off for the camera! :-)

    Hi Judy Lynn!

Love the frog and leg raise. The wink is pretty cute! The pink area in the left background draws my eyes because it is so different from everything else.

Possibly a contrast boost and crop on the left and top?

    Hi Judy,

I'm glad you have Beep! I'm going to miss him.

Second post does not work for me, too tight on the left. I think you did an excellent work with the low angle and details. The closed eye gives this owl some personality. Excellent capture Judy!

    Hi Judy,
I might have liked a little higher angle to show the other foot.........but as always that is personal preference. Love the drama of the catch...... as for me, that always adds something!

I much prefer the ORIG post to the re-post for many reasons (but thanks to Phil for his efforts)> What the original needs IMO is less red SAT and darker mid-tones--it looks a teench washed out to me but increasing the contrast was not the way to go. later and love, artie

Sweet! You got some behavior with some beauty-- but I do agree with last comment a little more pop would put this WAY over the top. Cool shot wish I'd taken it!

Many thanks Artie for your comments. I knew when I posted it that it needed a little more contrast but boosting the contrast did not do it. I appreciate your suggestions !!!! Again many thanks .

YAW. You could try adding 2 points of blacks to the neutrals, or better yet, using the Lightness Slider in Hue/Sat to the left a bit....
