    Default Kap-Kig-Iwan

One from a few years ago in Ontario's Kap-Kig-Iwan Provincial Park in the boreal forest near the town of Englehart. Kap-Kig-Iwan is aboriginal for "the high falls"

I used B&W Effects for this one. Adjusted the detail sliders and then played around with the simplify and diffusion sliders before adjusting the transparency slider to reveal about 50% of the original color. I applied it to a background layer and reduced the opacity of that layer to 60%.

    Look forward to comments.

Andrew, I really like the effect. B&W is pretty neat - I love the transparency slider I like the combination of detail and simplify - it creates a nice look.

Love the image design and the killer BKGR. The BKGR looks almost grungy. I like it. I should get to your guide within the week .

Andrew, I like this a lot. The filtering effect on the background is amazing.

Andrew, I like the over the top filtering. Nice grungy look and the whites are very detailed.

Hi Andrew, Great OOTB use of the filter. I really like the hyper-detail effect. Just enough to color too. Well done!

Didn't know there were so many waterfalls up north...on my first look, I said to myself, way to much effect....but the more I looked the more I liked. You have a good eye for composition, Andrew
