I've been visiting the Novoflex site recently (for Nikon to EOS adapter to fit the Nikon 14-24/2.8) and saw this attachement that allows you to reverse a Canon EF lens and obtain extreme macro capabilities. It even reports back to the camera body with a connector to the new "front" of the lens. I know mod Steve Maxson at least has the fantastic, and as far as I can see, unique Canon MP-E 65mm/2.8 macro lens, which allows 1-5x magnification. I guess I am wondering if the Novoflex attachment on a quality lens would give similar results for a lot less money?
Hi John. I haven't tried reverse-mounted lenses for macro, but I know of several photographers who do and they get excellent results - typically using a fixed focal length lens in the 28 mm range. I have no knowledge of the Novoflex attachment or how this would work with a zoom lens.
