With all the shore birds being posted, I thought I would dig one up of my own from a while back. I live 600km from the nearest sea, so I cant just pop down to a beach like most of you. This was taken along the South Coast of SA, south of Durban.

Excellent IQ, bird angle, sharpness and light here Stu.
I too wish I had quick access to a shore (or a nature reserve, for that matter ;)
I like that the feet are visible. Excellent image.

awesome image stu. beautiful light and exposure. razor sharp.
Btw are they now in non-br or moulting to non at your place ?

Though to my feeling the perch is little bigger or say overpowering visibility to me. i liked the slight cropping of bottom version not posted though..

might be wrong in case just my feeling .

Nice, classic pose and love the light. Some of the whites and yellows are hot. Still, a nice image.

Beautiful shot of the Ruddy Turnstone. The colors of the rock helps bring out the nice rust colors of the bird.

All good. Techs spot on. Nice bird right on top of a nice rock in nice light. Pleasing distant BKGR. Slightly off-angle light works well here.
