I've been enjoying Jeff's street photography and thought I would offer up one of my own. Taken in Chicago last year, I captured this busker playing his heart out. Captured with my BlackBerry Curve, so no techs to report.![]()

Kerry,
On of the things I like about street photography is the notion of form, gesture and color. In this photo you leveraged all three. Really like the ( work monitor) orange hat, the form of the saxophone and the gesture of him playing. You controlled the frame well with the sidewalk acting as a leading line. The subject is off-center showing the habitat and character of the big city - well done - I like!
You really did a great job of capturing an iconic image you will see in most big cities throughout America. Your skill and eye in composing the shot really show that the talent of the photographer is 60%- 70% of a great picture and the equipment used is the rest of it. Keep the photos coming!
Kerry, you really captured the essence of a big city. I especially like the daisy in his caseDid you go to the Matisse exhibit while you were there? I see the posters for it.

Hi Kerry, I was in Chicago last summer for a week with some friends and I remember seeing this guy. Was this taken near a train station?
Dave, I think that's the "L" down the block there so a station was probably close. This is also close to Millennium Park, which would have been behind me.
