Not a Profile or closeup bird shot but showing the scape version is a goal here.

This is one of my fav image. It was a good day and i was sitting on edge of the lake and this bird (Best breeding plumage amongst all) came and started feeding in.

As the 2x attached i thought to give 100% ground level image as it was showing many bands and that velvet look of water was so pleasing having favorable light i made it.

This is around 30% crop image even being at 1000mm.

    C & C Much Appreciated.

Yes, a smoking hot breeding plumage bird. I like the basic image design but not the merge of the head with the brown/blue line.... And a bit more head turn would have been nice. EXP, SH, and IQ all look fine.

Love the mood of this image, Mital. Second Artie on the head merge. But I really like the comp and colors and the beautiful details on the bird.

Superb bird in full breeding dress.

I like the concept but the same two things bug me as Artie...

HA is almost looking away from you at 45 degrees and the intersection of the BG with the head.

This is one of those times that being just a bit higher might have alleviated the BG head intersection issue.

Good concept. Good points above, and I would also prefer less room below...perhaps half of what is currently there. Good to try stuff in the field...way to go!

I also like the idea, and the bird is beautiful.
It is nice to see the big picture.
I agree with Daniel about a small crop, but I enjoy this kind of scene.

Opened the eye with a transformed Quick Mask and cropped a bit off the bottom. Love the bird. Loved the strips of color in the other one. Love this one too. I am going to the Netherlands next spring just to get this bird....
