    Laughing Gulls at Ft Desoto today. (Breeding pair) Didn't quite get the right angle but liked it any way.
    Canon 40D, 400mm f/5.6,
    1/1600, f/7.1, ISO 200

    Hi Bill,

    I wish you were at the right angle. You did well with the exposure. Remember when photographing multiple birds you want to step down to f/8 or f/11

    Lovely timing and great interaction Bill. Your exposure is good too. I echo Maxis's comments about the angle. Really like the cropping on this image. Thanks for sharing Bill.

    Love it! I don't like the extented thin strip of grey feathers at bottom of the near bird, but if you crop it the white feathers of the far bird would be clipped at a bad place. If you are OK with it you could clone (or QM) that strip out . Great interaction!

    I think this is excellent as is. You did get a good head angle on the bird facing you. If you could have moved left to get them both at a nice head angle that would be even better, but I wouldn't pass this one up.

    liked the image as posted. lovely composition - excellent angle & pose.
    just wish for more DOF to bring both the birds in focus.
