    Made this image in overcast conditions with the grey clouds as the BG. the Juv black shouldered kite decided to look at me in between its hovering ritual.

    hope it works

    spec: 1/1600, F 5.6, ISO 800, +1/3

    MK4+ 500mm+1.4TC

    Love the background, techs look great and those eyes are stunning....are they really that bright / red?

    I might try it just a tad higher in the frame?

    Thanks Jim, yeah they have bright red eyes. sure will try your suggestion of the Comp too..

    I agree... another vote for just a tad higher in the frame. Love the eye and outstretched wings.

    Kiran, terrific shot. Unusal and nice head position for a hovering shot....good job of keeping an eye on it. I like both the placement and size of the subject....its always that way in your images. You are pretty good at cropping.

    A really good shot. The great red eyes. Maybe the bird a little higher in the frame.

    Awesome head turn and crazy cool eyes .Nice look at the topside of that wing too. I'd love to have this one. Crop works for me as is

    Sweet shot Kiran. I like the red eyes and the wing details look great. Crop looks fine to me.
